The Truth About Weight Loss:

For years the weight loss industry has told us one thing, only to later change their minds and tell us the opposite.
They constantly change supposed weight loss 'facts' in order to confuse people into buying their latest weight loss fads. Them when sales drop, they again change tact to try and sell us something else.

The fact is, in order to lose weight you must consume fewer calories. In other words you must less - plain and simple.

Lapband Hypnosis RI

What Is Gastric Band Surgery?

An inflatable silicone device is placed around the top portion of the stomach, in order to help weight loss. The placement of the band creates a small pouch, at the top of the stomach. This pouch holds around half a cup of food. (The typical stomach holds about 6 cups of food).

The pouch fills with food quickly, and the band slows the passage of food from the pouch to the lower part of the stomach. As the upper part of the stomach registers as full, it sends the brain a message that the entire stomach is full. This helps the person to be hungry less often, feel full more quickly and for a longer period of time, eat smaller portions, and consequently lose weight over time.

Although this surgery is safer than other similar types of surgery such as stomach stapling, it is still not without its risks. Also with a cost average ranging from 5k to 30k, it's simply not an option for most folks. Here are some possible side-effects:

  • Death - during or following the surgery
  • Slipped band
  • Obstruction or blockage
  • Nausea and vomiting
  • Acid reflux
  • Regurgitation of food
  • Constipation and diarrhea
  • Difficulty swallowing
Gastric Band Session Hypnosis RI

What is Gastric Band Hypnosis?

Instead of actually going through with Gastric Band surgery, we use a special group of hypnosis sessions to convince your subconscious mind that you're actually undergoing the surgery - and that you have actually had it.

We guide you into a trance and talk you through the procedure as if it is actually happening, including sound effects. On a subconscious level you will believe that you have actually undergone the surgery.

What is the success rate for Lap Band Hypnosis?

The success rate for Lap Band Hypnosis is 85% compared to Lap Band surgery, which only has a 43% 7-year success rate. You have to remember that the subconscious mind is responsible for all of your habits. Therefore, if it believes that you are have undergone the surgery and are no longer able to eat as much, then that is exactly how you will react.

Is this different than regular weight loss hypnosis?
Unlike a standard weight loss hypnosis program, which uses techniques to promote a healthier approach to fitness and vitality and implants the idea that low-calorie foods are more appealing, the Gastric band Hypnosis Program is more for those clients who want to lose a significant amount of weight. The virtual gastric band technique is usually recommended for anyone with a BMI of 25 and above (see our calculator below). If you are looking to lose weight, but only a few pounds, we would recommend our alternative weight loss hypnosis program.

Do all hypnotherapists offer this?

While we certainly cannot tell you who is licensed and who isn't, we can tell you that the Lap Band procedure is an advanced hypnosis procedure that is currently not offered as part of any standard hypnotherapy training. We have received special training and certification to perform this type of hypnosis.
